a - When is Open Day?
Beta testing is going to begin within the next 2-3 days. This will last a minimum of 24 hours. A solid launch date will be released within this time.

b - Server Specs?
There's a lot of them

We've got a main storage server with LLNW which will host all video content, and then we've got multiple servers running to serve up dynamic content, and of course the video upload/encode software.

Right now, we wont release an exact number on how many of these we have - for the Beta test though, we're looking at only 2 of these servers being used at the start of the Beta test, with a further 4 being introduced over the course of this. Following stress testing, this can be increased to pretty much whatever is required.

The servers are running on the Xeon 3210 Kentfield processor, and are currently equipped with 4GB DDR.

c - Credentials or past work?
In this field, personally - not a whole lot.
I have a good technical background as far as server administration goes, and a good knowledge of digital media.

VReel is staffed by about 30 people (including programmers and designers currently working on freelance), of whom some have a huge deal of experience in this area.

d - How deep are you involved with 4Chan and anon as I read your promotion thread on 4chan and seen your anon pics with anon

We had a promotion thread on 4chan? Honestly, news to me. 4chan is absolute hilarity to read through most of the time, and that's about it for me. As far as Project Chanology goes, I try to help organise local protests, make some posters up, and host a small board for local protestors.

e - who are these so called professionals you say like the design team, the this team etc?

The design team and the programming team are freelancers - who have been following this whole debate with a lot of interest. None of which wish to be named.

Other staff include actors(I suppose that's one suprise out of the bag now), moderators, and two investors. We've also received a lot of support from the community, and have been in touch with some highly regarded people in terms of streaming HD-Video.

f - You promised you would open the end of last month and now it's the end of this month so what is different to when you made the first promise you broke?

When launched, VReel(formerly DivXit) was run by myself, with two hired programmers. Both of which lost interest, and vanished from the face of the planet.

Following our spike in popularity, I received a huge amount of support and help from various people - all looking to bring back the HD-Video platform to the mainstream. So I started taking things seriously, and bucked up the cash to get everything in motion.

And so far - apart from certain situations, we're having a whole load of fun getting everything ready, and we can't wait until launch.

And that's about all I have to say on it really.
If there's anything there you'd like explained a bit better, then feel free to ask.

I've not got involved in any of this as I refuse to get embroiled in arguments on internet forums with faceless individuals but a word of advice and the only thing I will say is if you are really intent on providing us an honest site then for your own sake please stop silly lies.

I run two other forums and mod on another and have full knowledge of the workings of both PhpBB and IPB and I've been on the forum browsing now for the past hour and a half and you have been on the active users list all this time.

I don't have any interest in this argument and will say nothing else on it but just stop lying as you are bringing all these conspiracy theories on yourself.

There's a very good reason it says "user(s) active in the past 15 minutes" that someone such as yourself should understand, unless you are actively browsing then your name will not show after 15 minutes and myself and others here will have noticed you've been on for at least an hour and a half and how long before that I don't know and I'm very clear on this as I'm waiting for a friend to log on although I'm sure others noticed.

I don't know whether you are going to bring a decent site on line or not and I have no interest in arguing with you about it but you need to start being honest with people as I've spotted a number of lies that I won't list but on reading the last comment I had to say something, I wish you all the best but you need to be up front with people and if you continue to lie then you will continue to bring bad things towards you it's the law of attraction.

Remember, your in control of your own destiny and get back what you give out

It's not something worth lying about. I could easily have said "Oh, I cooked food" or "I was reading other threads" or "I spent all that time writing that response".

This is exactly what I'm talking about - so many members of this community are so quick to find the smallest, most insignificant thing, and turn it into something worth talking about.

OK people, time to grow up, I work with Dacovale and we got off work at 12, this means he would have been travelling home until sometime in the area of 1230, I repeat, time to grow up.

This discussion is with the owner of what will be a very promising DivX site, if I didn't know the guy, I'd be spending this time talking to him about where he sees this site going, what kinds of features it'll have etc.

I repeat again, grow up.

I really don't want to post this but I couldn't live with myself if I didn't so this is what I just posted in The VIP Section:

I don't want to get involved with this as I don't like arguments but what Roxie just said is true as unless you are actively browsing the forum you will not show on the users list and he has been on line browsing for a few hours now and I always check the who is on line to see what people are doing and he's been going from section to section.

I don't want to say anything as what I say is taken as the official word of the forum and I don't want to cause trouble but what should I do when I know Roxie is telling the truth as I feel guilty either way?

Sigh, well Dac I don't think you should respond anymore to what anyone says here. All that has done for you is cause you more grief so maybe being mute would be better and just go back to posting your site updates The way most people are here will take ALOT of patience and this will just keeping going back and forth and then *BOOM* it all goes to hell and then drags on for months. So IMO just stick with posting the site updates and ignore everything else. I wish you the best of luck!
